We’re always tryin’ to think of new ways to keep it fresh for the Collective. So when Kev got home from his recent trip overseas, he came back more stoked on life than ever, and with some awesome new ideas for the venture.
He was over in Asia putting a few finishing touches on the production of our 1st Edition Vinchee Day Packs. And along the way he was able to do some sightseeing, experience some awesome new culture, and meet some RAD new friends. He was most stoked on how positive everyone he met was, and came back claimin’ the trip felt like “more of a vacation than a business trip.”
After meeting with our partners to discuss some business one day, Kev saw there was a basketball court at the factory we’re working with. He wanted to kick it and shoot some hoops, so he asked the security guard if he could borrow a basketball. The guard returned with a winded, lopsided ball and Kev started shooting around. The factory workers were heading home around the same time, and a couple of the guys asked if it would be cool for them to join. Within minutes, it turned into a exciting game of 3 v. 1- with Kev playing against 3 of them.
When the game ended, the factory owner approached Kev and told him the guys were super excited to share a game with him and impressed by his outside shot. What’s even more RAD is that one of the workers, Keith, even offered to show Kev around from a “local’s perspective“.
Experiences like this are what get us really stoked: People reaching out to each other and building friendships.
At the end of the trip Kev returned the favor by hooking his new friends up with a fresh Nike bball to replace their winded one, so they could keep up their game. I guess we’ll find out at next seasons rematch.
