We’re really stoked to announce that we finally hit double digit numbers after last week’s edition of Treasure Tuesdays! Time has flown by over the course of the past couple months and a serious amount of ground has been covered and sunken treasures have been discovered. Another awesome announcement is that in our efforts to give back to our local community- our weekly beach cleanup goal will be met next week!!!!
On Tuesday evening the Crew picked up right where we left off the last week, and hit the sand at C Street. Since the sun was shining and the weather was epic- we were amped to soak up the few remaining cosmic rays of “Summer” (in our minds Summer doesn’t ever really end). At first glance the sunken treasures were looking abundant, but as we quickly discovered on our voyage: they were actually pretty few and far between this week. The strangest part of this week’s Treasure Tuesdays was that we didn’t even find a SINGLE sandal! So we’re taking it as a sign that Summer really is coming to a close and Fall is creeping up on us.
After spending some time cruisin’ down the beach and excavating treasures from the sand, the sun began dropping quickly. (and so did the temperature!) As we rolled up to G street we were able to see our final destination clearly. Wedge will no longer be a destination on our horizons, and soon we will have tidied up the entire peninsula from 74th street all the way down to Wedge. So seeing as how next week will be the last week of our Treasure Tuesdays beach cleanups, we would love to have you there with us to celebrate as we reach this goal.
Time and meeting location to be announced shortly.
