This edition of Treasure Tuesdays was chock-full of cosmic rays, epic times, and good company!
On Tuesday evening the Crew rallied together and met up at 28th street to perform the weekly beach cleanup. After the colossal success of last week’s cleanup, we knew we had to really try hard to out do ourselves this time. So when we hit the warm sand with bags in hand, the voyage began.
As we trekked along the sand, hidden treasures in every shape and size caught our eyes. Naturally, we took it upon ourselves to investigate what we saw lying in the sand and quickly filled our bags. However, one of the more peculiar finds of the day was the usual sandal (we find them EVERY week), but in an extremely unusual state. Someone had managed to walk away with just the sole of his sandal, leaving only the top straps behind. (Trust us, we are as confused as you are about how this happened…)
Anyhow, time flew by quicker than the numbered street signs we were passing, and before we knew it. We found ourselves all the way down at C street. Satisfied with our bags that were bursting with treasure, the Crew decided to call it a day.
So far we have covered a ton of ground in our efforts to give back to our local community, and it looks like we are quickly approaching our final destination of our Treasure Tuesdays beach cleanups. The goal is to make it all the way down to the Wedge within the next few weeks. We will all be able to sleep a little easier at night knowing that we left the peninsula just a little bit cleaner each week.
We hope you can join us for next week’s Treasure Tuesdays. Location and meeting time will be announced shortly.
