Even though summer is “officially” coming to an end after Labor Day, it seems like it actually just arrived! The weather has been unbelievable over the past couple weeks and we couldn’t be more stoked on it.
Since we have been working extra hard this week, preparing for our Sample Sale- it was a breath of fresh air to get outside and cruise the beach for our weekly Treasure Tuesdays beach cleanup. Another added bonus mother nature decided to bless us with this week is warmer water! (It seriously felt like we re up in Rincon, not Newport last week). So for this week’s Treasure Tuesdays the Crew met at 28th street and didn’t waste any time getting right after it.
As we cruised along on our voyage TONS of sunken treasure was discovered. The usual food wrappers, water bottles, and sandals were found (a pair of Reefs this time).
However, Mr. Andrew Beck took the award for the “rarest treasure” of the day with his discovery of a Pretty Pretty Princess tiara.
As of last night at 11 o’clock we were told he was still wearing it, (wonder how that went over in the office this morning!). Another 1st time discovery also took place, after the careful and precise excavation process- a $1 dollar bill was rescued from the sand. In our attempts to give back to the community, we’ve decided to donate this treasure to a good cause.
After some casual conversation and good company, the Crew decided to call it a day upon arrival at 15th street. It’s safe to say that this week’s Treasure Tuesdays was, “One small (sandal less) step for man, one giant leap for mankind”.
We hope you can join us next week for another edition of Treasure Tuesdays. Time & location will be posted in the near future.
